Rome, 12th April 2016 - Zuma, the multi-award winning restaurant created by renowned chef Rainer Becker, announces the opening of its Bar, Lounge and Terrace on Tuesday 12th April 2016.
Accessible through an independent entrance in Via della Fontanella di Borghese 48, the Zuma Bar and Lounge - on the 5th floor of Palazzo Fendi - is surrounded by a terrace with unparalleled views of the historical centre of Rome, from the Spanish Steps to the Vatican City.
The Bar opens form 17:00 and will offer a selection of Zuma style aperitivo and a cocktail menu with an exciting mix of Zuma signature and seasonal cocktails such as rubabu, with rhubarb infused sake, vodka, passion fruit and lemon; zuma bellini; and raspberry & passion fruit martini. The bar will also introduce a wide range of sake, including Zuma’s own exclusive Biwa No Choju as well as a large selection of wines and contemporary cocktails. Using only premium sprits and liqueurs, along with fresh fruits and vegetables the cocktail menu will be continuously evolving, forever striving to celebrate and encompass the Roman identity and Italian culture.
In addition, from 18:00, a lighter selection of Zuma’s signature dishes will be available at the bar such as sliced yellowtail, green chilli relish, ponzu and pickled garlic; monkfish tempura with yuzu; crispy fried squid, green chilli and lime.
The elegant interior of Zuma continues from the restaurant through to the bar, and immediately upon arrival the design elements begin to unfold. A solid piece of wood has been hand-carved to create a bespoke greeting station, with the twists and nuances of the wood contrasted against a backdrop of dark slates. Striking metal lanterns surround it and a plethora of textures and natural materials continue throughout the Bar and Lounge to give a warm, sophisticated vibe.
Zuma Bar, Lounge and Terrace will be open Tuesday – Sunday from 17:00 to late. No reservation is required.
